How to Qualify for the $7,500 Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate

Through the Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program (OCVRP), eligible low- to moderate-income Oregon residents can receive a $7,500 "Charge Ahead" Rebate toward the purchase or lease of a new, eligible Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV). Below are the state requirements you must meet to qualify for this rebate:

1. Income & Residency Requirements

• You must be an Oregon resident living in a low- or moderate-income household.
• Your household income must be less than 400% of the federal poverty guidelines.
• You must pass income verification by showing proof of participation in an eligible public assistance program (e.g., Oregon Health Plan/Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, WIC, LIHEAP, Free/Reduced-Price Lunch) OR by providing tax transcripts (Form 4506-C) for your household.
• Note: Individuals claimed as a dependent on someone else's tax return do not qualify.

2. Vehicle & Purchase Requirements

• You must purchase or lease a new eligible Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) from a licensed dealer.
• If leasing, the original lease term must be for a minimum of 24 months.
• The vehicle must be registered in Oregon, and you must retain that registration for at least 24 months.
• The purchase or lease must be completed during an open OCVRP funding window.

3. How to Claim Your $7,500

• Get it at the Dealership (Point of Sale): To get the $7,500 taken off directly at the time of your purchase or lease, you must first get a Charge Ahead Prequalification Voucher through the DEQ's online application form. Bring this voucher with you to the dealership.
• Post-Purchase Application: If you buy or lease your vehicle without a voucher, you can still submit a post-purchase rebate application online within six (6) months of your purchase/lease date.
